The Department of Orthodontics strives for the education of excellent, ethical, compassionate, and versatile practitioners in the art and science of orthodontics. We have a variety of program options, including the Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics, which can be paired with a Master of Science. We also offer an International Program.

Orthodontics Residency Program
The Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics extends over a period of 30 months and leads to a Certificate in Orthodontics. This postdoctoral program encompasses the study of basic sciences and other relevant areas by combining laboratory and clinical work with didactic courses. It is designed to meet the standards of the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Education for Advanced Education Programs in Orthodontics and to satisfy the American Board of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics requirements.

International Orthodontics Program
Non-US trained Dentists are eligible to apply for the International Orthodontic Program. The educational content of this 36-month orthodontic program is identical to the one offered to US-trained Dentists. Enrollment to the graduate program leading to a Master of Science Degree, however, is mandatory for those applicants accepted to the International program.
