Our Responsibilities
Our team is a multifaceted, strategic unit that supports the Heersink School of Medicine through leadership recruitment, candidate engagement, and institutional review efforts.
Leadership Recruitment Support
Our team partners with School and departmental leadership to support searches for key roles, including department chairs, executive administrators, and other positions critical to the School’s strategic priorities.
Candidate Engagement and Campus Experience
We lead the design and execution of comprehensive candidate engagement experiences. This includes coordinating interview processes, stakeholder meetings, and immersive campus visits that thoughtfully showcase UAB’s culture, values, and long-term vision.
Academic Departmental Reviews and Strategic Alignment
In addition to recruitment, our team plays a key role in the periodic review of academic departments. We support these reviews by coordinating processes that assess departmental performance, identify opportunities for growth, and align departmental goals with the broader strategic priorities of the Heersink School of Medicine.
