Drayton Holmes, LBSW, MPA is the current Director of Risk Management, Quality Assurance, and Compliance at Alabama Clinical Schools. Prior to joining ACS, Drayton served over 10 years at Gateway, the oldest non-profit agency in the Birmingham area. Drayton’s entire career to date has been focused in services to children and families. Prior to becoming an administrator, he performed a number of social work roles including as a family preservation/reunification specialist. Drayton believes the keys to successful child welfare practice are rapport building, permanency planning, and safety.
Drayton completed UAB’s BSW program in 2007, the MPA program in 2013, and was also awarded a certificate in non-profit management from UAB in 2013. Additionally, he is a certified instructor for the nationally recognized Mental Health First Aid curriculum for both youth and adults.
A native of Birmingham, Drayton resides in the Bluff Park area with his wife and daughter.
