Numerous members of the UAB Department of Surgery were recognized as new fellows of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) at the 2025 Clinical Congress in Chicago, Illinois.
The following members of the department were conferred with the title of fellow:
- UAB Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Clinical Assistant Professor Captain Benjamin Hazen, M.D.
- UAB Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery Clinical Assistant Professor Katie Novitski, M.D., MPH
- UAB Division of Pediatric Surgery Assistant Professor Chinwendu Onwubiko, M.D., Ph.D.
- UAB Division of Pediatric Surgery Assistant Professor Laura Stafman, M.D., Ph.D.
- UAB Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Clinical Assistant Professor Captain Kyle Stigall, M.D.
- UAB Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery Assistant Professor Sasha Anne Still, M.D.
