The UAB General Surgery Residency Program recognized outstanding residents, faculty, advanced practice providers, and staff during its annual Awards Day celebration. Together, members of the UAB Department of Surgery honored excellence in patient care, education, research, leadership, mentorship, and service throughout the academic year.
Awards were presented in a variety of categories, highlighting achievements in clinical performance, medical student education, scholarly activity, teaching, and departmental collaboration.
“Awards Day is one of the most meaningful traditions in our residency program because it provides an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our residents and recognize the faculty, staff, and advanced practice providers who contribute to their success,” said General Surgery Residency Program Director Britney Corey, M.D., MACM. “We are incredibly proud of each awardee’s achievements and look forward to seeing the continued impact they will have on the field of surgery.”
