Leaving the military and preparing to return to the civilian construction industry after almost eleven years, I knew that I would need to retool my construction knowledge to be competitive for employment. The CEM program offered the online flexibility that I needed, and it covered the current relevant course material. I now have new tools and resources to help face the challenges required in the construction industry.

Students can earn a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Construction Engineering Management (CEM) fully online. This gives students a chance to gain valuable industry knowledge from practically anywhere in the world. Whether you reside near the campus, work in the construction industry located throughout the U.S., or perhaps are on military duty stationed abroad, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) offers the educational tools to help you achieve your career goals.

Using the interactive map below, it is clear to see the powerful reach that CEM offers working professionals. Currently, we have students and alumni from 47 U.S. states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico, and 20 foreign countries. We are very proud of our educational accomplishments over the past decade, the positive student testimonials, and the possibility for future students, like yourself, to become part of the UAB family.
