Blazer Kitchen Garden is a thriving urban agriculture initiative that supplies fresh organic produce to Blazer Kitchen while serving as a hub for education and community engagement. Founded in 2020, it is located across from Blazer Kitchen and the UAB Solar House. Blazer Kitchen Garden has become a vital source of nourishment and connection, offering public access every Saturday and producing 20 to 30 pounds of vegetables weekly, at peak production, from its 10 raised beds.

The vision for Blazer Garden is ambitious and inspiring: maximize space efficiency by transitioning to square-foot gardening, introduce vertical training structures for crops like squash and tomatoes, and build hoop houses to extend the growing season. These enhancements, along with a potential greenhouse, could double the garden’s output, meeting the ever-growing demand for fresh produce at Blazer Kitchen.
