Jennifer MorganJennifer Morgan has been named senior director of development at the UAB School of Health Professions. A Florida native, she comes to UAB from the University of South Florida, where she served as director of development since 2024.

“I'm looking forward to building strong relationships with alumni, donors, faculty, and community partners, so we can continue to support the school’s growth and success,” said Morgan. “My goal is to help expand our reach and resources, whether that's through increased scholarship support for students, funding for innovative projects, or new opportunities for faculty and researchers. Ultimately, I want to be a part of helping UAB and the School of Health Professions move health care forward, and I'm excited to get started!”

Morgan joins Sarah Jenks, associate director of development, and Amanda Sherman, director of alumni engagement, in conjunction with UAB Advancement to develop and implement new strategies to secure major gifts to support the School of Health Professions’ goals in education and scholarship, research and innovation, and community partnerships.

“We’re truly excited to welcome Jennifer to our team,” said Dean Andrew Butler, Ph.D., UAB School of Health Professions. “Her heartfelt commitment to higher education and her impressive track record in development make her an ideal partner as we continue to elevate the School of Health Professions. I look forward to working closely with her to deepen our connections with students, faculty, alumni, and the community we serve.”

With over 10 years of professional fundraising experience in major gift development, proven success in portfolio management and developing engaging strategies that engage and cultivate donor relationships, we are thrilled to see what Morgan will accomplish as a Blazer.

“What really drew me to the UAB School of Health Professions was the chance to be part of something that's truly making a difference in people's lives,” said Morgan. “The school’s commitment to education, research discovery, and community engagement immediately stood out to me, especially its focus on improving lives through multidisciplinary collaboration and innovative research.”
