Pivot-RP is a comprehensive search engine for grant funding opportunities available through state, federal, corporate, non-profit, and foundation sponsors. Pivot enables researchers to find potential funding opportunities, receive weekly funding alerts based on your research profile, and identify potential collaborators within UAB and at universities around the world. Limited Submissions
Some sponsors restrict the total number of grant applications submitted per institution, school, and/or discipline, commonly referred to as a “limited submission”. The Research Development Office (RDO) tracks limited submission opportunities and manages the internal review process to determine which applicant(s) or proposal(s) will represent UAB, when necessary.

UWIRC Pilot Funding
The University-Wide Interdisciplinary Research Center (UWIRC) program serves to catalyze cross-cutting research and discovery, adding to the generation of new scientific knowledge and its applications to benefit society. Several UWIRCs offer competitive funding for pilot research projects, and the Research Development Office helps coordinate a central site to identify pilot funding opportunities on campus.
