President Watts was named UAB’s seventh president in 2013. A Birmingham native and graduate of UAB’s undergraduate engineering program, Dr. Watts returned to UAB after his medical training to hold clinical and senior administrative positions in the Heersink School of Medicine. UAB’s institutional leadership also includes the President’s Cabinet and Senior Leadership Team.
