University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing students Lindsey Bonner, RN, BSN, and Rachel Pickett, RN, BSN, were recently honored with an invitation to speak at the Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists Fall Meeting.

Upon the recommendation of Nurse Anesthesia Specialty Track Coordinator Susan McMullan, PhD, CRNA, Bonner presented “Anesthetic Management of Myasthenia Gravis” and Pickett presented “Anesthetic Implications of Demyelinating Diseases” to the group at the Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa in Hoover, Ala., on Oct. 18.

Both Bonner and Pickett earned their Master’s of Science in Nursing degrees from the School in December 2015.
