Loring W. Rue, III, M.D. Lectureship

Dr. Loring W. Rue III, M.D., served as director of the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery for 19 years, as well as Chief of Trauma, Burns, and Surgical Critical Care services. Within the UAB Health System, he chaired the OR Executive Management Committee from 2005 to 2014, and served as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President for Quality, Patient Safety, and Clinical Effectiveness. Dr. Rue’s impact is felt far beyond the trauma bays and operating rooms - he led historic transformations in the way the state of Alabama cares for trauma patients. Learn more about Dr. Rue.
