Catherine Bridges Adams, M.D., Ph.D., PGY2, joined the UAB Department of Radiology in July 2025. Originally from Coventry, Rhode Island, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Denver before completing both her medical and doctoral training at the Medical University of South Carolina.

What do you look forward to about training in the department/UAB in general?

Adams: The broad experiences in radiology and research that come from being at a large hospital.

What hobby or activity do you wish you had more time for?

Adams: Hiking, walking, and exploring outside.

What is your favorite holiday, and why?

Adams: I enjoy New Year’s because the world comes together to celebrate.
