Krishmita Siwakoti, M.D., PGY2, joined the UAB Department of Radiation Oncology in July 2025. A native of Kathmandu, Nepal, she completed both her undergraduate education and medical school there.

What do you look forward to about training in the department/UAB in general?
Siwakoti: I look forward to working with wonderful attendings and mentors, being part of a fun and collegial group of co-residents and building strong therapeutic relationships with patients.

What hobby or activity do you wish you had more time for?
Siwakoti: I enjoy strength training and trying new recipes, and I wish I had more time for both.

What is your favorite holiday, and why?
Siwakoti: My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. I love the perfect fall weather, the decorations, the smell of pumpkin spice, and hosting Thanksgiving dinner for family and friends.
