Tracy Brewer-Woods, administrative director in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), was selected as a recipient of the 2025 UAB Medicine Excellence Awards. This is the highest honor available for staff.

“I am deeply honored to receive the 2025 UAB Medicine Excellence Award. It means a lot to be recognized alongside so many amazing people who work hard every day to make a difference. I am thankful for all the support from my team and excited to keep doing my part to help our patients and community,” said Brewer-Woods.

UAB Medicine has a rich history of recognizing excellence. Employees are considered for this award based upon skill set, knowledge, performance, leadership, teamwork, and demonstration of the Core Values.
