The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Pediatrics is proud to recognize Scott Turner, DNP, assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Neurology, on his election as a Fellow of the American Headache Society (AHS).

Fellow status is a peer-recognized honor awarded to individuals who demonstrate a high level of professional and scholarly achievement and who have made significant contributions to the field of headache medicine.

The American Headache Society is a professional organization dedicated to improving the lives of people impacted by migraine and other headache disorders. AHS supports healthcare providers through education, scientific meetings, research, advocacy and professional development while fostering an inclusive and collaborative community focused on advancing care for patients with headache and facial pain.

Turner’s elevation to Fellow status will be formally announced in the Headache journal in January 2026. This recognition reflects his commitment to advancing pediatric neurology and improving outcomes for children affected by headache disorders.
