Last week, we honored our UAB Pediatric Residency graduating class of 2025! This class has been an absolute joy, and we are thankful and grateful to them. May they continue life-long learning and strive for greatness!

The graduating class presented the following awards at the banquet:

Michele St. Romain Award
This award recognizes a graduating resident with the finest qualities of a pediatrician: enthusiasm, compassion, and dedication to the care of children.

Ralph E. Tiller, M.D. Distinguished Faculty Award
This award recognizes a faculty member who has contributed the most to overall education and training.
Caroline Densmore, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Academic General Pediatrics

Sergio Stagno, M.D. Friend of Housestaff Award
This award recognizes an individual demonstrating a strong commitment to resident education and quality of life.
Amelia Schuyler, M.D., fellow in the Division of Neonatology

Quarterback Club Subspecialty Education Award
This award recognizes a selected fellow’s contributions to resident education.
Chloe Braun, M.D., fellow in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care

Best Teaching Rotation Award
This award was created in 2017 to recognize a division’s commitment and dedication to the education of residents.
