The 2025 Tri-State Pathology Conference took place October 4-5 at the New Orleans Marriot in Louisiana, hosted by the Louisiana Pathology Society, in conjunction with the Mississippi Association of Pathologists and the Alabama Association of Pathologists.
Shi Wei, M.D., Ph.D., Hazel Gore, M.B.B.S., Endowed Professor in Women’s Health, Division Director, gave the lecture titled, “Traditional Breast Cancer Biomarkers: Old Story New.”
Gian Piero Carames, M.D., PGY4, presented the poster titled, “Warthin-like Carcinoma.” Rachel Chang, D.O., M.S., PGY2, presented two posters, “Incidental Extrapulmonary Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) in Gynecologic Pathology: An Underrecognized Entity,” and “Pathology Resident’s Role in Preoperative Consultation for Patients with a Positive Antibody Screen.”
Edward Chung, D.O., PGY3, and Alexandra Wilson, M.D., PGY2, presented the poster titled, "A Case of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (CLL/SLL) Involving a Respiratory Epithelial Adenomatoid Hamartoma (REAH).” Huda Haq, M.D., PGY2, presented the poster titled, “Malignant Solitary Fibrous Tumor of the Pancreas: A Rare Case with Dedifferentiation – A Diagnostic Dilemma and Pitfall.” FNU Raja, M.D., instructor-fellow, presented the poster titled, “Vulvar Fibroepithelial Stromal Polyp, An Uncommon Manifestation of Chron’s Disease.”
