The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Neurosurgery is pleased to welcome Angelina Unich as an MSHA administrative intern.

Unich, a native of Montgomery, Alabama, graduated magna cum laude with distinguished honors from UAB in 2024, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management. Her passion for equitable health care and leadership was shaped by roles as a peer wellness ambassador, family care specialist with Ronald McDonald House Charities and administrative intern at the Kolbe Clinic.

She further developed her operational skills during a care transitions internship at UAB Medicine, where she focused on reducing length of stay and improving process authorizations. Now pursuing a Master of Science in Health Administration at UAB, Unich is expected to graduate in 2027. She is committed to a career in health care administration focused on quality, patient safety and expanding access to underserved communities.

In her free time, Unich enjoys hiking, antiquing and spending time with loved ones.
