VASCOG
The purpose of this project is to evaluate the efficacy of a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) intervention on arterial stiffness and cognitive function in 60 older people living with HIV (OPWH) and neurocognitive disorder.
The goals of this study are to:
- Leverage the infrastructure from HEALTH-COG (parent study) to co-enroll individuals who are cognitively impaired (based on screener) to compare the effects of HIIT or CME on arterial stiffness and cognitive functioning in older adults.
- Qualitatively assess the baseline barriers to engagement in exercise and the participant experiences of the exercise intervention.
