Homecoming 2025 Divisions Overview
The purpose of the UAB Homecoming Blazer Spirit Competition is to promote Blazer spirit and encourage involvement among all students. All UAB students, student organizations, or groups of students are invited to participate.
Awards are given in two divisions, Green Division and Gold Division. Each group participating must have at least 4 individuals. Student organizations can partner with each other to compete as one team.
The overall 2025 Homecoming Spirit Competition winners in each division will be announced via email and recognized on the Homecoming Instagram (@uab_homecoming) on Saturday, October 18th. . The 1st place winners of each division will also be recognized during the football game on Saturday, October 18th. The awards will be based on a point scale derived from a total of each team’s accumulated points from each event throughout the week. In the event of a tie both teams will be awarded the allotted number of points for the individual event.

Green Division
The Green Division consists of university fraternities and sororities. This division is open to all groups who fall under Fraternity & Sorority Life (MGC, NPHC, CPH, IFC). All FSL teams must be actively registered as an organization through Engage for Fall 2025. All team members must be current UAB students. Teams will compete against one another for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in the Green Division.
Gold Division
The Gold Division consists of general registered student organizations, university-funded organizations, and individual groups (i.e., groups of students, friends, classmates, etc.). This division is open to all groups who are general student organizations or university-funded organizations, as well as independent student groups of friends/classmates. All organizations must be actively registered through Engage for Fall 2025. All team members must be current UAB students. Teams will compete against one another for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in the Gold Division.
