Why did you choose UAB?

I chose UAB first because of its beautiful campus, diverse community, and welcoming environment. It was almost perfect for my major, and the networking opportunities seemed vast!

Why did you choose your major?

I chose Kinesiology for a few different reasons. I loved playing sports as a child while simultaneously wanting to be a doctor or perhaps be in medicine and i was introduced to “exercise science” in high school and took a sports medicine program my senior year than just fell in love with it!

What is your favorite thing about the UAB School of Education and Human Sciences?

The community!!! SEHS never fails at making an engaging event or trying to make its students feel better!

What class have you enjoyed the most so far at UAB?

Anatomy! I won’t lie and say it wasn’t a hard class, however one thing in particular i liked about the class is how it made me think. Not just to pass the class but to understand what’s going on in the body.

What piece of advice would you give a prospective SOEHS student?

Don’t shelter yourself inside! Go out and form your own community or join one.

What are your plans after you graduate from UAB?

Doctor of physical therapy school or athletic training programs.
