Emergency Care
During Business Hours
Patients experiencing a dental emergency during normal business hours should contact UAB Dental Group as soon as possible for assistance and scheduling guidance. Emergency dental needs are evaluated and managed based on the nature and urgency of the condition.
After-Hours Emergencies
After-hours emergency care is available for current patients of record. Patients should use the on-call information below for after-hours emergency care. This service is available to patients of record only.
Adult Patients
Contact Hospital Dentistry Resident (205) 934-3411 Ask for the Hospital Dentistry Resident on-call.
Pediatric Dentistry Patients
Contact Children’s Hospital Call Center at (205) 683-9100 and ask for the Pediatric Dentistry Resident to be paged. To reach the Children's Hospital Dental Clinic, take 7th Avenue South toward 16th Street South. Then, enter through the main entrance, and the dental clinic is located in the Lower Building, as indicated in Clinic #9.
