Internships

AEIVA offers student internships that aim to provide students with real-world experience with the practices and function of a museum. Based on availability, student interns are placed in a concentration of curatorial, collections management, or education. However, all student interns can expect to work in and gain experience in most areas of the museum throughout the course of the internship.

Student internships are available for each semester: fall, spring, and summer. On occasion, interns are invited to repeat the internship for up to two consecutive semesters depending on availability of projects. Internships are currently only available to UAB students taking the internship for course credit through UAB.
