UAB Transportation will suspend several Blazer Express routes beginning May 2 in anticipation of reduced passenger loads during the summer semester.
Suspended routes, from May 2 to May 10:
- Green – North
- Green – South
- Purple
During this time, all other routes – including Blue, Highland Express, North Pavilion, and TKC – will operate on their normal schedules. Blaze Ride and Safety Escort will continue regular service.
Summer semester changes, from May 11 to Aug. 15:
- Green – North and Purple routes remain suspended.
- Green – South will operate with reduced capacity (one bus during service hours).
- All other fixed routes, Blue, Highland Express, North Pavilion, TKC will maintain normal weekday service.
- On-demand services (Blaze Ride and Safety Escort) and Highland Shuttle continue as usual.
As a reminder, Blazer Express service will suspend operations on Memorial Day (May 27) or Juneteenth (June 19). Blaze Ride and Safety Escort will remain in normal operation during these holidays.
