
UAB Collegiate Recovery Community
The Collegiate Recovery Community is a peer-driven resource for students seeking to improve their relationship with substance use.
We offer a range of supports, services, and involvement opportunities! Whether you’re in recovery, working towards it, or simply thinking about making some changes, the CRC provides a community of like-minded individuals and a substance-free environment to study, socialize, or learn more about recovery.

All-Recovery Meetings – All Semester
Meetings are open to anyone who is seeking peer support for recovery from substance use or mental health concern, or working towards recovery, or simply thinking about making some changes. All are welcome.
Wednesdays 5:15pm – 6:15pm Collegiate Recovery Community Space 1102 12th Street South (between the Pita Stop and Subway)
Daily Drop-In Hours
Students are welcome to come by the Collegiate Recovery Community to hang out, meet some of the team, or learn about the CRC. No appointment needed.
- Mondays: 1pm- 5pm
- Tuesdays: 3pm – 7pm
- Wednesdays: 3pm – 5pm
- Thursdays: 1pm – 5pm
- Fridays: 2pm – 5pm
Events
These events are open to any students who would like to attend and connect with other students in recovery. Events are free and open to all. Food will be served.

Dedicated space for students in recovery
- Our Collegiate Recovery Community space is a dedicated place for students to gather, study, meditate, meet, play games, relax, and connect. We have a living room with a game table, a kitchen and large meeting room, and a private meditation room in addition to our staff offices. We’d love to have you drop by!
- Parking is available in the parking lot behind the CRC. CRC staff will give you a permit to place on your dashboard when you arrive since this is a paid parking lot for UAB Highlands (students and CRC guests will not have to pay).
