We’re thrilled to announce an exciting service project in partnership with the HSOM Department of Pediatrics’ Staff Wellness and Recognition Council—and we’d love for you to be part of it!
This summer, the UAB Staff Council Community Outreach Committee is leading a donation drive to support families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). For many of these families, small gestures of kindness can make a big difference during a challenging time.
Here’s how you can help:
We’re collecting the following items during June, July, and August:
- Snacks & shelf-stable food items for families spending long hours at the hospital
- Boxes of individually wrapped snacks like chips, protein bars, crackers, fruit snacks, etc.
- Infant onesies/sleepers with snaps
- Sizes preemie – 5T
- Must be new and unused
- Blankets
- Must be new and unused
- Age-appropriate books
- For babies up to 5-year-olds
Drop-off Details:
Donations will be accepted at the upcoming Staff Council meetings on:
- June 25
- July 23
- August 27
Every donation, big or small, will help bring comfort and support to NICU families. Let’s come together as a community to show them how much we care!
