All UAB campus staff are invited to attend the annual Fall Staff Picnic, hosted by Janet Woodruff-Borden, Ph.D., with the UAB Staff Council.

• When: Friday, October 10, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
• Where: Bartow Arena Concourse
• What: Chick-fil-a and fellowship with university campus staff

Join us to hear the provost’s remarks at 11 a.m. outside of the arena and then check in with your UAB ONE Card to enjoy a free lunch catered by Chick-fil-A with sandwiches and salad while supplies last.

Things to keep in mind:

• You must be present to receive a meal.
• Only one meal is available per campus staff member.

UAB Staff Council Chair Lauren Humphreys will be welcoming staff alongside Dr. Woodruff-Borden. “Last year, the Fall Staff Picnic saw record-breaking attendance, reflecting the spirit of our community. We look forward to continuing this tradition and celebrating the dedication of our campus staff,” she says.”

Eighteen vendor tables will be set up throughout the concourse to distribute swag items and share information about the services and perks available to UAB employees. Vendors showcasing campus and community resources will include the UAB Employee Assistance and Counseling Center, UAB Arts, UAB Benefits, and many more. The UAB Bookstore will have Blazer apparel available for purchase in their kiosk.

Staff attending the picnic are encouraged to participate in the annual hygiene drive benefiting UAB Blazer Kitchen. In addition to in-person donations, items can be purchased from an Amazon Wishlist.
