Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, or feel that your quality of life has suffered due to your HIV diagnosis?
Researchers in the Department of Psychology at The University of Alabama at Birmingham are conducting a clinical trial of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for the treatment of mental health concerns among men who have sex with men and are living with HIV.
Volunteers will attend 8 weekly roughly 1 hour sessions of psychotherapy delivered via HIPAA-compliant Zoom by a doctoral student in Medical/Clinical Psychology at University of Alabama at Birmingham. Participants will receive $10 upon completion of initial intake session and an additional $15 upon completion of final therapy session. To participate, you must be an active patient of UAB's 1917 clinic.
