Recruiting Participants Ages 6-21 with Williams Syndrome!

The UAB STARS Lab is conducting a research study to explore children's motivation to complete moderately challenging tasks and how this relates to academic achievement, language, cognition, and behavior in individuals with Williams syndrome.

Who can participate?
• Children aged 6-21 with a diagnosis of Williams syndrome (both males and females are welcome).
What does the study involve?
• 1-2 days of activities at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Campbell Hall.
• Your child will complete language and cognitive assessments, as well as game-like activities with a researcher.
• Caregivers will complete questionnaires and participate in an interview about their child’s communication, behavior, and development.

What will you receive?
• $50 compensation for participation.
• Reimbursement for travel expenses.
• A score report with your child’s results.
