Get a sneak peek at featured items up for auction during a virtual preview Oct. 27 before the Nov. 12 event. , an annual scholarship fundraiser for the University of Alabama at Birmingham, will be held Thursday, Nov. 12.
Presented by the National Alumni Society, this signature scholarship fundraiser invests in the next generation of Blazers. Now in its 18th year, Uncork Education has raised nearly $1 million for UAB student scholarships. The National Alumni Society partners with UAB schools and colleges to provide support to deserving students.
Set for 6-8 p.m. at The Florentine, 2101 Second Ave. North, Birmingham, Uncork Education features tastings, heavy hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions, entertainment, and games, including the popular Blazer Plinko. Tickets to attend Uncork Education are $75 with five sponsorship levels. Purchase tickets.
Supporters can get an early look during a virtual Uncork Education Auction Preview from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27. The free preview will showcase featured live auction experiences and select silent auction packages that will be available. Register for the auction preview.
Online bidding for select silent auction items will open Friday, Nov. 6. For supporters who cannot attend in person, free virtual bidding access will allow participants to bid on auction items from anywhere. Browse and bid on a variety of fun, unique and exclusive items, all benefiting UAB students.
The evening’s schedule includes a cocktail hour, Blazer Plinko, Blazer Birdie, Mersey Craft Spirits and silent auction from 6-7 p.m. The silent auction will close at 7 p.m., followed by the live auction and special program from 7:05-8 p.m.
