Husameddin El Khudari, M.D., graduated summa cum laude with first rank from the Medical College at Garyounis University (Currently Benghazi University) in Benghazi, Libya. Initially, he pursued a career in surgery and obtained the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (MRCS). He then moved to United States where he completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, Massachusetts, followed by an Interventional Radiology fellowship at UAB. He is currently an assistant professor in the Division of Interventional Radiology and the Director of Interventional Radiology Medical Student Education.

Souheil Saddekni, M.D., FSIR, FAHA received his residency training at Methodist Hospital in New York City, and then did a two year fellowship at Cornell Medical Center in NYC in Cardiovascular/ Interventional Radiology, then a fellowship in Abdominal/ Interventional Radiology at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Saddekni was also honored with being one of few elected to the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, and was also further honored with also being selected as a fellow of the Council on Cardiovascular Radiology, American Heart Association. After completing his fellowship training Dr. Saddekni joined the faculty at Cornell, then recruited to Columbia University where he served as Director of Interventional Radiology at St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. In 1991, Dr. Saddekni was then recruited to set up the Interventional Radiology program at UAB, he severed as Director of Interventional Radiology for over 20 years. Dr. Saddekni is currently the Director of Interventional Oncology. He is the author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters in interventional radiology. Dr. Saddekni's clinical expertise and interests include liver and biliary interventions such as chemoembolization for the treatment of liver tumors, percutaneous treatment of biliary obstruction and TIPS, embolization procedures, varicocele, angioplasty and stenting, and optimizing imaging techniques in IR. |

Rachel F. Oser, M.D., completed her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College, followed by medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship training at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology/Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Oser then joined the UAB Faculty in the Interventional Radiology section. Dr. Oser is the Program Director of the Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship. She is the Chair of the Interventional Radiology Clinical Competency Committee, and also serves on the Credentials Committee for UAB. She works with residents during their assignments to the service as well. She specializes in uterine artery embolization and has specific interest in biliary, urologic and hemodialysis procedures.
