The UAB Heersink School of Medicine Dale J. Benos Medical Student Research Day (MSRD) celebrates the research accomplishments of medical students and provides them with the opportunity to present their projects to fellow students and faculty. The day consists of poster presentations by students enrolled in the MD, MD/MPH, MD/MSPH, MD/MS, MD/MBA, and MD/PhD programs. All medical students are invited to present the results of their research projects. MSRD is scheduled to be held in Marnix E. Heersink Conference Center (ALTEC #102).

Submission Requirements

• Abstracts should not be longer than 500 words

Poster Requirements

• Posters should be “36 x 48” or “42 x 56”
• UAB HSOM Templates can be found on the Poster Center website (you may use your own template as well)

• Aug 29nd: Abstracts are due (MSRD Abstract Submission Form)

• Sept 10th: Posters are due for printing to the Poster Service Center 

• Sept 10-12th: Posters will be ready for pick up (fees may apply)

• Sept 15th: Rotated Posters are displayed in West Pavilion First Floor  with Judging (Noon-5PM) 

• Oct 3rd: Awards are Announced
