Kimberin David 2019WEBDavid Kimberlin, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, was recently appointed to the United States National Sustainability Committee (NSC) for the Elimination of Measles, Rubella, and Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS).

The Committee's primary objective is to certify whether the United States has fulfilled all requirements for the re-verification of the elimination of measles, rubella, and congenital rubella syndrome.

“I am honored to participate in this important effort,” said Dr. Kimberlin. “We have safe and effective vaccines needed to eliminate measles and congenital rubella syndrome, but too often these days people are refusing them. I truly believe this will change over time, though, and am excited to see that progress as part of this important committee.”

Congratulations Dr. Kimberlin!
