Dr. John Owen received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at UAB's Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and his pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Indiana University. 

With over 35 years of experience in ophthalmic practice, Dr. Owen is a welcome addition to the UAB Callahan Eye network. He provides exceptional and expert comprehensive care and vision services for patients in our Lions Clinic at the UAB Callahan Eye Hospital.
