Dr. Brook Gibson is an optometrist specializing in low vision rehabilitation and the management of ocular disease across all age groups. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where she was actively involved in clinical outreach, specialty care, and leadership development.
Dr. Gibson went on to complete a fellowship in ocular disease management and low vision rehabilitation with the UAB Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, where she worked closely with ophthalmology and occupational therapy teams to co-manage complex patient cases. Her training included specialty rotations in pediatric vision, specialty contact lenses, neuro-optometry and low vision services.
She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, and the Alabama Optometric Association. Dr. Gibson is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care that helps patients maximize their vision and quality of life.
She currently sees patients at UAB Callahan Eye’s downtown clinic locations, including Suite 601, Suite 711, and the UAB Center for Low Vision Rehabilitation.
