Bio

Kerrington "Logan" Powell, M.D., is originally from Amarillo, TX. A former NCAA Division I tennis player and two-time Southland Conference champion at Lamar University, he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Psychology. Prior to medical school, Dr. Powell worked as a research analyst in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco, under Dr. Vinay Prasad, focusing on oncology and health policy. He earned his M.D. from Texas A&M College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and recognized as the highest scoring, graded surgical student of the year. Outside of neurosurgery, Dr. Powell enjoys long-distance running, heavy metal music, triathlons, tennis, golf, and hunting—and is on a mostly one-man mission to convince his co-residents to join him in running ultramarathons.
