Biography

Dr. Katherine “Kat” Baldwin Griesmer serves as an Assistant Professor for the Department of Emergency Medicine and Director of the Emergency Medicine Ultrasound course for residents. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at UAB in 2023 and her fellowship in Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography (AEMUS) at UAB in 2024. Currently, she is assisting with the creation of department-wide regional anesthesia in collaboration with our Trauma Surgery colleagues, as well as further integration of ultrasound into UME curriculum at both the pre-clinical and clinical levels.
