The Division with the greatest leap in rankings is Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism, which went from “high-performing” to #30 in the country. Good News Update: July 25, 2016
The Department of Medicine has awarded four faculty members the Walter B. Frommeyer, Jr., Fellowship in Investigative Medicine: Pankaj Arora, MD (Cardiovascular Disease), Latesha Elopre, MD (Infectious Diseases) Nathan Erdmann, MD, PhD (Infectious Diseases), and Sunad Rangarajan, MD (Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care). The award will support a two-year intensive, mentored research experience designed to foster the development of independent physician-scientists.

Cynthia J. Brown, MD, MSPH (Director, Gerontology, Geriatrics and Palliative Care) has been selected as a 2016-2017 fellow of the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine program. ELAM is a year-long, part-time fellowship that prepares women faculty for senior leadership roles in academic health science institutions.
