Biography

Dr. Atigadda is originally from Hyderabad, a city located in southern part of India. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, he came to the United States for graduate education at Auburn University. He obtained a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the Harrison School of Pharmacy, Auburn University in 1996.

After his Ph.D., he came to UAB in pursuit of a post-doctoral fellowship. After completing his post-doctoral work in 2003, Dr. Atigadda became an research Assistant Professor in UAB's Department of Chemistry. In 2017, he accepted a research faculty position in UAB's Department of Dermatology.
