This certificate is designed to enhance the training and education provided to all majors and emphasizes key critical skills across five required courses that grow in complexity as you advance. You’ll learn data processing concepts, Python programming, supervised machine learning models, and unsupervised learning such as principal component analysis and clustering techniques. The certificate also introduces deep learning and neural networks.

This 15-hour certificate is offered on-campus but has some on-ground classes and some online classes. You’ll also get real-world, experiential learning opportunities in Birmingham that allow you to test and apply your skills.
