About the Program

Ensuring the protection and preservation of the world’s heritage sites and artifacts requires a sophisticated, interdisciplinary approach that prioritizes analysis, communication, ethics, and administrative skills. Understanding historical and cultural contexts, law and policy, and project management is imperative for anyone interested in careers with government agencies, non-profits, museums, and private companies working in cultural resource management.

Students pursuing the innovative Graduate Certificate in Cultural Resource Management in Archaeology will learn critical skills to plan, promote and implement ways to preserve and protect cultural sites. The certificate includes courses on historical preservation and conservation, business management, public relations, history, historical archaeology and environmental impacts.

Delivery Method

Content for this program is delivered through in-person, online, and in-field courses. Students may also participate in an internship.
