Upon receiving his degree in Spanish from UAB, Markelle plans to attend pharmacy school and use his language skills to work as a pharmacist in urban areas with large Hispanic populations. In addition to participating in the UAB program in Jaén, Spain this May, he plans to spend the Fall 2011 semester abroad in Madrid through Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA). The College Language Association Study Abroad Scholarship will be applied toward the fall program in Madrid.
