Henry Panion III, Ph.D., will produce and lead “An All-Star Salute to Selma” on Sunday, March 8, during the annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee. The salute is part of a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” the Selma-to-Montgomery march, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Set for this season are “Dead Man’s Cell Phone,” “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,” “Don’t Ask,” “Murder on the Orient Express,” and “Dear Evan Hansen” with Red Mountain Theatre.
Inspired by a police press conference, Yuliang Zheng, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Computer Science, developed a way to prove that digital files are authentic while obscuring secret information. His work is now an International Standard in cybersecurity, paving the way for large-scale adoption by tech companies.
