Dr. Lauren Rast, Instructor of Physics and Project Leader for UAB Physics Online Education Project, recently appeared on The Weather Channel during Lightning Safety Week, June 24-30, 2018. Dr. Rast and Dr. Walter Schrading, Associate Professor in the School of Medicine, offered their particular expertise in understanding how lightning works and how to stay safe.
