Jillian Matthews is a senior at UAB pursuing a degree in Political Science with a minor in International Studies. In the future, she plans to work within the field of diplomacy with the dream of achieving global peace through nonviolent means. Her areas of interest include the politics and history of Central and Eastern Europe, transitional justice, healthcare access, and the global rights of women. When not in class, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and writing.
