Invisible Histories

Grant Wilson is a non-traditional sophomore at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, majoring in Political Science and Economics. As a BICEP intern with the Institute for Human Rights, Grant is eager to connect lived experience with academic study—exploring how communities can build more inclusive, equitable, and just futures through policy and advocacy.

Grant is a member of the Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement and serves as Chapter Manager for the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) at UAB. Outside of academics, Grant brings political insights a touch of humor as an amateur stand-up comic, while also pursuing entrepreneurial work through PrimeCatalyst Strategies, a post-graduate venture aimed at lobbying for the interests of everyday Americans.

As both a student and advocate, Grant is passionate about bridging civic engagement, human rights, and storytelling to spark meaningful change.
