My name is Abigail (they/them). I am currently an MS student in the Riddle lab, where I study aging, epigenetics, and transcriptomics using the fruit fly species Drosophila melanogaster and Drosophila virilis as model organisms. In many species, including both humans and fruit flies, females generally live longer than males; the goal of my research is to investigate the molecular causes of this phenomenon and whether these causes are common across different species. Outside of the lab, I enjoy making music, building scale models, and studying constructed languages.
