Communicate as a leader on a personal and managerial level.
The Certificate in Organizational Communication is designed to develop students’ communication and integral managerial skills, allowing them to adapt to varying business environments and a wide range of audiences and clients. The undergraduate certificate program emphasizes the importance of business writing skills, verbal and nonverbal communication, and global communication skills.
Communications is a broad topic that includes many competencies. The certificate curriculum includes three required communications courses and allows students to choose two elective courses that align with their respective career goals.
The Organizational Communication Certificate can be completed on-campus, online, or a combination of both and requires completion of three core communication courses (three credit hours each) and two electives:

In addition to teaching classes in data visualization, she is the co-author of Wiley’s new Accounting Information Systems: Connecting Careers, Systems, and Analytics. She is a distinguished Academic Ambassador for Tableau, a recipient of the “Outstanding Chapter Leadership Award” from the Institute of Internal Auditors, a recipient of the UAB Rising Star Award, a Birmingham Business Journal NextGEN in Accounting Honoree, and a UAB Alumna of the Decade (2010-2020).
